Turks to march under own flag
Turks will march under their own flag in Hobart's Anzac Day parade on Thursday.
RSL state president IAN KENNETT says Tasmania's Turkish community has been given permissionto march in the parade under what was the enemy flag in 1915.
Mr KENNETT says he expects 15 to 20 Turks will take part.
He says Australian and Turkish soldiers respected each other on the battlefields of Gallipoli.
But he says similar German or Japanese participation in Anzac Day ceremonies wouldbe a different matter.
