SA: Woman sentenced over armed robbery
ADELAIDE, Feb 14 AAP - A 20-year-old woman who used a metal wheelbrace as a weapon
during an armed robbery last year was jailed today for nearly four years.
Her 20-year-old cousin who also took part in the robbery was given suspended jail term.
In the Adelaide District Court Judge Robert Lunn said Kristy Louise Orr played the
dominant role in the robbery on the Smokemart store at suburban Glanville.
He said Orr pursued the crime with some vigour demanding money from the store's attendants
during the raid on June 25 which netted more than $850 in cash.
However Judge Lunn said Bianca Michelle Mackintosh played a passive role.
He sentenced Mackintosh to 42 months in jail with a non-parole period of two years
but suspended both terms.
He jailed Orr for 45 months with a non-parole period of two months.
Both women pleaded guilty to the offence of armed robbery.
